Carolina Kitchen in Brandywine

Great Food Excellent Service I have no complaints and this was my first time ever eating at a Carolina Kitchen. Very impressed!!!!

Food was terrible and the manager was rude. First time and will NEVER go back. How do you mess up fried fish. No gravy for my rice and everything cooked with meat in it.

This evening my Sister and I came to have a good southern meal and that we did. Our waitress name was Amanda. She made our evening enjoyable, with her pleasant smile and warm inviting spirit. I must say she was very attentive to my family and myself. I must say "Thank You Amanda for your lovely service. We will be back and pray we have you as our waitress again.

The food is 5, but the service is 2. We waited 25 mins and got a sad excuse with okay service. I recommend the restaurant, but not this location. Outside of the bad service, it's a great place.

We got there when the dining area was closed but got the chance to order food from the carry out area and eat in the restaurant until closing time. I thought that was very accommodating.

The food was good. The prices are high. I found someone's curly hair in two of the napkin- wrapped utensils. Also it was on the table...so I can't give it a 5.My son's fries didn't come out with his order, they'd forgotten, but they apologized and brought them out after we'd eaten... and took it off of the bill.For the pictured food here, minus the salmon dish (my sister was with us) my bill was $145!😲😮🤷🏾‍♀️I won't be back personally, but I wouldn't tell others not to go...

BBQ Chicken was way overcooked. Taste like it's been sitting all day RUBBER ☹. Why is no one managing the line? Kids are running this location. Hugh waste of money . FOOD IS GREAT, BUT THE PORTIONS ARE THE WORST OUT OF ALL THE LOCATIONS. THEY DEFINITELY NEED TO WORK ON GIVING YOU YOUR MONEYS WORTH.

Amanda is a great server she is really attentive and nice. She was detailed in explaining the menu and u can tell she loves what she does. I will definitely be back! Great customer service and great food.

The lady i talked to was rude and hung up in my face. They told me fries aren’t a side but i got them last time. It’s supposed to be “5” people in there, then why was there a buffet line. I had to wait about 40 minutes for my order (about 10 minutes for my order there) I paid 26$ for a lobster and shrimp meal and the container wasn’t even full. Last time i’m ever going there . they jip u out ur money and the service makes u not even want to go there. 1 STAR

We enjoyed our experience at Carolina Kitchen Brandywine today. Our server Amanda J was amazing!!! She was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Our food was excellent, especially the baked fish with the creole sauce. We will definitely be back!!

First time with daughter and granddaughter for lunch. Was awesome. Recommend and will go back again for sure.

The waitress was polite. We observe that other tables were recieving the standard drinks and bread as all restaurant serve..but not us.she seemed to be preoccupied. Then requested napkins.had to ask another waitress .the food was ok. I would not recommend this too anyone .and at first I was excited. Not now.

This was my first visit and I can't wait to come back. I had the sweet fire shrimp. It was very flavorful. When you enter the restaurant you immediately know that soul food is going to be served. The aroma gives it away. The waitress was also very nice.

Amanda was an excellent server from the time we were seated all the way until we left. She was very engaged with making sure that we were all good, that our food tasted great, that we got everything and even making sure our table was clutter free. We love coming to this Carolina Kitchen and Amanda just made this visit all the better! Thank You Amanda!!!

Right from the door the service was great. The waiter took our order. kept checking up on us, the price was good. I highly recommend it

I placed an order over the phone at 8:36 P.M. I then dove 25 minutes to pick it up. Once I got there the chains were on the door and locked. All of the workers were still inside. I called and they answered the phone. I explained I was outside to pick up my order. The guy I spoke with said sorry we are closed that you did not arrive in time. Why not tell me you are closing in less than 20 minutes before taking my order. In my opinion, this is bad customer service and everyone eating outside that heard the conversation were in disbelief. So this tells me I am not the only one that feels this way. I have ate here many of times, but do not think I will be returning.

This place isnt as good as the Carolina Kitchen on New York Ave(DC) and the location in Hyattsville(MD). So if you are willing to take the drive then its worth it. For some reason I had pink mac and cheese which they said the wrong noddles came in idk. They also dont provide a lunch special like the other two locations I shared. The staff seemed easily irritated Ex. I changed what I wanted after items were wrote on the box and the young lady behide the window threw the food container after I asked if I could switch what I order. Small detail. I went around lunchtime I was in and out. No wait time at all.

I had excellent service this evening. My waitress was Amanda, she was very polite and very attentive to all of my family’s needs while having dinner. Thank you again Amanda for excellent customer service.

I will not visit this location again. I was looking forward to this meal, only to discover (once I arrived home) that the food was burned. For this pricing, I definitely wouldn't expect to be served burnt food. Someone should be inspecting the food being served. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and had to discard the meal.

Today I dined in with some friends. I noticed that there were only two servers.Amanda J was our server, I thought we would be waiting a while. She definitely went above and beyond. She gave us service in a crowded restaurant as if there were more servers. She was Awesome and I appreciated the service she provided!!!!! GREAT JOB!

Great food! You won't be disappointed. If you have $10 to $15 for a meal, your stomach will be happy and you'll probably have a good nap afterward. I live near the one in Brandywine Maryland, near Waldorf, and my family shamelessly visits this place at least 4 times a month. But it's a great goto for good quality southern food. Their mac and cheese is a favorite and the Jamaican chicken, and potato salad people travel far for. Don't come on Sundays after church it's jammed or any other obvious holiday like Valentine's or busy times - again because its a favorite - unless you come on an off time. Enjoy!

First time at this location. Normally go to largo location. Definitely won't be going back.Greens were good. Mac an cheese not seasoned. Ordered smothered pork chops. Got two end pieces mostly bone an very tough. Gravy was thick an unseasoned. They definitely should do a taste test.

Awesome food and wonderful staff from start to finish. We had a party of 16 and were well taken care of today at lunch. The veggie burger was delish. Others enjoyed generous portions of tasty chicken, greens, mac and cheese just to name a few items. We'll be back!

Best southern food you can find in Maryland. Love the menus and the food is great. The staff is professional and the seating is good.

I give Carolinas Kitchen a chance once every few years and have tried all their locations. I find the food overpriced and under seasoned. My husband got the fried chicken with sweet potatoes and green beans, and I decided to treat myself and get the salmon dish . My husband couldn't finish his chicken due to lack of seasoning , he actually said the chicken from Safeway on Crain highway was much better seasoned. As for me, I was so disappointed with the dry salmon and undetectable crab that was supposed to go on top . Our sides were okay , honestly, I think that's the best thing about this place. We most likely won't be returning anytime soon.

If you want good southern food this is the place!! Food is sooo good!!

Got 2 fried pork chops they were fried to hard but the food is great there.. very clean.. staff is friendly.... felt like I was at a church event and pastor just finished and now we eating type atmosphere ...

I purchased a whiting dinner with yams and greens. I was given an old piece of fish that was hard and rubbery!!!! Then they wanted $6 for a slice of apple pie needless to say I put it back. I try my best to support black businesses but this is the reason I don't. Never going back!!!

Went here with family tonight and the food was so tasty. Our waitress Amanda J, was great and attentive. I will definitely come here again.

We had an extraordinary time at this restaurant. We liked the excellent ambience and the meals. The staff were very personal. I am content we finally managed to visit this restaurant.

Loved loved loved the food especially the kale and shrimp soup! The country vibe and decor. I will be back. My server was cool as well.

Food is really good. I ordered grilled salmon salad. My husband ordered chicken salad and shrimp kale soup. See photos. They prepared the food after we ordered. We waited about 15 minutes for the food.

Good corn bread but that's about it. Pulled chicken sandwich came FULL of bones. A full leg sized bone as well as small bones. When we informed staff, they said that was how they make it. Incredible choking hazard as well as impossible to eat. Staff was nice but food not worth a repeat visit.

Didnt receive all of my order and food wasnt as expected. I have eaten there once before and the food was much better

Amanda was awesome! She was very pleasant and attentive. Her energy was great and she saw I was sick and even gave me some remedies for when I get home. She is the type of waitress you want when you dine in a restaurant. I will definitely drive 45 min back here to be seated at her table.

Had dinner there last night. They were a little shorthanded but We decided to wait. We were not disappointed after waiting. Raven our server was AWESOME even though she was very busy. Our food was frick'n DELICIOUS and we didn't have to wait long for it to arrive. We remarked to each other that "this was the most fully satisfying meal we've had in a long while. We will be going back for sure.

I love this location! They are inviting, courteous, professional. Nothing like the largo location. That location never been good but this one is on point and care about their customers. I never received cold greased food. I would pick this one everytime.

So, we tried Cheddar's and the service and toilets were disgusting. I asked my husband you wanna walk out and go to Carolina kitchen, such a good choice. We were greeted and server, Alexa, was great. She was nice and spoke to us like she actually wanted our business. Food is so fillng and delicious. Quick and hot! Sweet tea is flavorful. Pics say it all. Oh and cornbread omg, sweet and taste like cake. Thank you!

Wow what an amazing experience. Food was hot and delicious and my server Amanda was phenomenal. The perfect atmosphere with fabulous music. Highly recommend!
